Founded in 1978
For more than 40 years, HemaCare has worked to support the advancement of science by providing human blood cells for biomedical research and drug discovery. Founded as a blood bank, our donors have been and continue to be the lifeblood of the organization. Our approach is based on cultivating enduring relationships with our donors, allowing us to supply researchers with the cellular materials needed to develop next-generation therapies.
We envision a future where cancer, autoimmune, and infectious diseases are eradicated and those most vulnerable can receive the care needed to live long and healthy lives. Our incredibly generous blood donors support a wide range of research areas including vaccine development, oncology, regenerative medicine, and more. Today, our contributions have played an essential role in the development of many FDA approved cell therapies and we have expanded our reach to donor centers located in the Los Angeles, Seattle, Memphis and Boston areas. Join us as we contribute to science and strengthen the health and well-being of our communities.
HemaCare boasts an experienced Clinical and Donor Care Specialist Team. These team members have vast expertise and include physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, and phlebotomists. Our dedicated team members will partner with you through the entire donation process ensuring your donation will contribute to medical treatment breakthroughs for many patients.”
